After almost losing a loved one to poor medical attention, Dr. Andrew Thabiso Pitso found his calling. Dr. Pitso obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degrees in 2012 from the University of Limpopo (previously Medunsa). In 2020 he founded the Dr. Pitso EC Inc., a wholly black owned Emergency Centre.

Dr. Pitso is an Emergency Physician and currently the head of the Mediclinic Medforum Emergency Centre. A dedicated, disciplined and hardworking professional who holds a number of certifications including ESMOE, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Surgical Skills. His vision in starting the centre is to provide quality healthcare to his community and to be an inspiration within the community.
